area. The plant’s volunteers planted 100,000 young pines near Dolgoderevenskoye
in Chelyabinsk Region to help restore the city of Chelyabinsk’s green shield.
The plant joined forces with the regional firefighting and forestry center for
the action.
Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant Launches Output of Hardware for Steelmaking, Coal, Furniture and Textile Industries

hardware types for the mining, cable, furniture and textile industries in 2021.
Test batches of the new products have been dispatched to the plant’s clients.
Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant Ups Sales of Universal Rolling Mill’s Output
In this year’s first
quarter, Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant (part of Mechel Group) has shipped off
132,000 tonnes of products manufactured by its universal rolling mill. This is
10% more than in the previous quarter.
Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant to Launch New Wiredrawing Equipment
Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant
(part of Mechel Group) began start-up and adjustment procedures for its new
wiredrawing equipment. The plant acquired four wiredrawing benches worth a
total of 220 million rubles as part of the investment project aimed at
upgrading the plant’s steel wire and rope facilities. The launch is scheduled
for June. According to the project’s outline, the plant will launch a total of
12 new benches by the end of 2023.
Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant Launches New Rebar Production Line
Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant (part of Mechel
Group) launched a new line producing thermo-strengthened rebar at the plant’s
mill 300-2. This product is widely used in construction. Investment in the
project totaled 100 million rubles.

negative impact on the environment. The plant is repairing its gas cleansing and
cooling equipment as well as gas pipelines.
Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant Upgrades Pump Unit, Slashes Waste Water Flow
Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant (part of Mechel
Group) began modernizing its pump station #55 to reduce wastewater emissions
into the Miass River and increase the flow used in the closed production cycle.
This project is part of Mechel Group’s ecological agreement with Chelyabinsk
Region’s Governor Alexey Texler, which aims to reduce the plant’s impact on the
region’s water resources.
