Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant Ups Hardware Sales to Furniture Producers
Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant (part of Mechel Group) supplied 10% more hardware to furniture producers in this year’s nine months than over the same period last year.
The plant shipped more than 28,000 tonnes of its products to its customers, including 26,700 tonnes of spring wire and 1,600 tonnes of beaten band. These supplies are made through Mechel Group’s sales network Mechel Service.
Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant’s hardware (spring wire and beaten cold-rolled band) were shipped to some 30 furniture producers, including major consumers such as Askona, Sarma and Ormatek — sleepware industry leaders in Russia.
The plant’s spring wire and steel band have high mechanical and plastic properties. They are used to make spring blocs for mattresses.
“Today Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant covers about 40% of the demand for these products on the domestic market. We also develop our exports. All major mattress producers value the high quality of our hardware, and confirm this by numerous positive feedback,” Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant’s Managing Director Sergey Fedorov commented.
