Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant Produced Rolls for Bridge Construction in Ufa

Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant produced 3,200 tonnes of steel rolls for construction of a bridge over the Belaya River in Ufa.

Mechel Group’s sales network Mechel Service supplied beams, rebar, rolled flats and other sections produced by Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant.

The bridge will be built at the opening of Vorovskogo Street between two existing bridges and will help relieve traffic. The construction is part of the national project “Safe and High-Quality Automobile Roads”.

The new 688-meter bridge will provide a one-way three-lane road link to Ufa’s airport.

The bridge’s pillars are fully complete. Now the builders are assembling, fitting and welding the bridge’s superstructure and will then slide it toward the city on the right bank.

The bridge’s construction began in 2019 and is due to be complete in late 2021. Once the new bridge is built, the old one will be closed for reconstruction.
