Port Mechel Temryuk (part of Mechel Group’s transport division managed by Mecheltrans Management Company) maintained transshipment in January-June at last year’s level of about 770,000 tonnes.

Coal demonstrated the most growth, with coal transshipment up 38% year-on-year, reaching 341,000 tonnes.

Oil products shipments went down by 21% to 280,000 tonnes, with other types of cargo accounting for the remaining 149,000 tonnes approximately.

Export accounted for all 100% of shipments, with supply to Turkey (76%), Malta (10%) and Greece (6%) predominant.

In this accounting period, Port Mechel Temryuk processed 144 cargo vessels and nearly 8,000 wagon cars.

The port mostly handles output from Mechel Group’s coal and coke producing facilities.
