Mechel 2004 full year results conference call to be broadcast over the Internet
Moscow, Russia — June 27, 2005 — Mechel OAO (NYSE: MTL) announces that it intends to release its results for the full-year period ending December 31, 2004 on Monday, June 27, 2005. In conjunction with this release, Mechel will host a conference call, which will be simultaneously broadcast live over the Internet. Vladimir F. Iorich, Chief Executive Officer of Mechel OAO, and Svetlana V. Ardentova, Chief Financial Officer, will host the call.
Mechel wins additional coking coal license areas
Kemerovo, Russia – June 24, 2005 – Southern Kuzbass Coal Company, a subsidiary of Mechel, has won auctions for the right to explore and mine coking coal at three plots with total reserves of 888 million tonnes, according to Russian reserve valuation standards.
